Getting my server online was quick and painless, and Dot5hosting's customer service cooperated with me to meet my needs promptly, politely and effectively. My site`s only been offline for a little under an hour, and I was quickly informed of the problem and what dot5 was doing to fix the matter. This is a welcome change to my old server's miles of red tape! Match this with an excellent low price and look no further for a new server.

The control panel is a bit slow, but it is easy to navigate and it provides all the necessary functions. If all goes as it has, I think I am going to renew my dot5hosting web hosting plan.

The support has been excellent with queries always being answered, even when a solution hasn`t been possible, they`ve been polite enough to inform me of the fact rather than just ignoring my email, and their support staff frequent the support forums dealing with issues quickly and efficently. My site loads very quickly and smoothly. The annual rate is the most economical and for the low price, I get quality service. I highly recommend Dot5 Hosting to everyone I know that has a website.

You get what you pay for - cheap host, acceptable bandwidth and uptime. Tech support not always great and sometimes slow to respond. My impression is too many customers and websites, and too few techs.

Advantages I can mention:
1. Support. It's good, and it's fast. 24 e-mail support, and soon 24 phone support.
2. Bandwidth and storage. Pretty decent for $5 per month.
3. Speed. It's not the fastest, that's for sure, but it's decent for the price.
4. Openness - forums.dot5hosting.com - they never had to put this up, but they do, and that's pretty good.
Disadvantages:
1. Occasional downtime - half an hour here, or there, usually at most. Yes, there might be an extreme occasion here or there, but it's pretty rare.
2. Things happen without being told, such as stats programs changing, or whatever. They could simply keep the customers informed a little better. But it's not a major problem - it's usually upgrades they don't tell you about.
